The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, CP Abdullahi Mudassiru, has ordered an immediate full scale investigation into the gruesome assassination of Captain Abdulkarim Ibn Na-Allah.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige.

TheFact Nigeria notes that Kaduna, in Nigeria’s north-west has been in the grip of bandits, kidnappers and other violent criminals for some time now despite security operatives doing their best to contain them.

Recently, the nation’s foremost military training institution, the Nigerian Defence Academy, (NDA), Kaduna, was invaded by daredevil bandits who abducted an officer and killed two in the process.

Late Abdulkarim Ibn Na-Allah, 36, eldest son of Senator Bala Ibn Na Allah, who represents Kebbi South senatorial district, was yesterday, 29 August, found dead in his room in Malali GRA, Kaduna.

According to Mr. Jalige, who confirmed the incident, the death of the deceased was reported to the police at about 3.30pm. He said the killers took his car, and that investigation had commenced on the matter.

The report has it that the assassins forcefully gained access into the residence of the deceased at Umar Gwandu Road Malali, Kaduna, during the night hours, choked him to death in coldblood and made away with his Lexus SUV to an unknown destination.

Narrating how the deceased was murdered, Garba Mohammed, special adviser to Mr Na’Allah, said that late Abdulkarim was tied in his room and strangled while the assailants escaped with his vehicle. Mr Mohammed said the remains of the deceased had been buried on Sunday evening at Unguwan Sarki cemetery in Kaduna.

Until his death, Abdulkarim Ibn Na-Allah was a pilot by profession and not an army captain as being peddled in some quarters of the media.

The Command, through its statement has said that it is ‘deeply saddened by this incident’ and ‘extends its condolences to the grieving family as CP Abdullahi Mudassiru have since directed that a full scale investigation be carried out with a view to unraveling the identities of the culprit and bringing them to book.
