King of Boys: Charly Boy To Release Musical Film

Veteran Nigerian singer, Charly Boy, is set to drop a musical film titled ‘Odudubariba’ on September 20.

Charly Boy was recently featured in Nollywood Netflix series ‘King of Boys: the Return of the king’, where he played the character “Odudubariba”.

Following his role in the blockbuster series, his manager, Doris Udensi, broke the news of his new musical movie via a statement in Abuja on Friday.

Udensi indicated that the 70-year-old showbiz maestro is keen on leading an advocacy and enlightenment campaign for a better society and this prompted his move back to the music space.

The manager also stated that Charly Boy’s age-long passion is to mobilise citizens for nation-building.

Udensi said: “His focus is to take a break from his street protest/ peaceful demonstrations and put all that energy into conscious music like never before.”

“This musical film drops on all TV, radio stations, and YouTube will also be available on all music platforms from Sept. 20.

“This film was directed by the legendary Akin Alabi, choreographed by the one and only Dr. Kaffy, and costumes were designed by Modela.

“The single puts its spotlight on the position of Charly Boy as the king and pioneer of many positive changes that have taken place in the last 22 years in the entertainment space.

“Charly Boy, The Areafada returns back like a king into the country after three months abroad of rebooting and vacationing to release his highly anticipated Odudubariba musical film.”
