Atiku To Muslims: Avoid Sin, Embrace Good Conduct At Ramadan

Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has told Muslims not to forget the virtues of giving to the less privileged in the month of Ramadan, do away with sinful deeds and embrace good conduct as taught by the Noble Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

This was contained in a statement by his Media Officer, Mr. Paul Ibe on Saturday.

TheFact Nigeria gathered that the former Vice President also urged Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to embrace unity and peace.

The Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world began fasting in the holy month of Ramadan on Saturday.

Alhaji Abubakar said that the Ramadan was an opportunity for Nigerians to once again, seek the blessings and favours of the Almighty Allah in praying for solutions to the problems that affect them as individuals and as a nation.

He congratulated the Muslim faithful in Nigeria and around the world on the sighting of the crescent of the Holy month of Ramadan.

He said: “It is with great joy that I congratulate Muslims in Nigeria and the world over on the sighting of the Ramadan crescent, which signifies the commencement of compulsory month-long fasting.

“Going by the challenges that confront us as a country, this holy month presents us with another divine opportunity to seek the mercies and blessings of Allah upon our respective lives and our country as a whole.

“I will therefore call on Muslims to take utmost advantage of this holy month as we continue to promote peace and prosperity in the fatherland towards making us one people with a one future and citizens of one prosperous country”.
