‘Dangote Cement Promo Will Support Economy, Covid-19’

The ongoing Dangote Cement bag of goodies season 2 promo will help the country cushion the effects of the economic strains brought about by the Coronavirus pandemic, cement consumers in northern states have said.

Cement end-users which include, block makers, artisans and distributors in Abuja and some northern states welcomed the new promo, describing the Dangote Cement as a brand of ‘integrity and trust.’

The ongoing season 2 promo, which started July 15 will run for 16 weeks, and 1,000 Nigerians are expected to win a star prize of one million naira each, among other prizes which include: tricycles, refrigerators, television sets, generators, Goodies packs, smaller monetary prizes and airtime.

Chairman of the Association of Abuja Block Producers (AABP), Sir Johnson Aka, expressed optimism that like the previous promos by the Dangote Cement, the new promo will induce more sales, profitability and investments in the cement subsector of the economy.

“With one thousand new millionaires, Nigerian economy will be better off, especially now that the covid-19 pandemic has depleted economic activities,” he said.

He said the over one thousand members of his Association are already aware of the Dangote Cement bag of goodies season 2 promo, adding that, “Our members and several other people have been calling me to enquire about the promo and I told them, like the previous ones, it is real.”

Speaking in the same vein, chairman of the Abuja Concrete Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Mr. Uzor George Tiga, said: “We are happy by the quality of Dangote Cement brand and the quality of the promo. It would significantly increase our yield, more so that you win instantly without any raffle draw.

“We are the greatest beneficiaries, because this is downtime for the industry but because of Dangote cement’s innovation, business and sales will be gingered, and there will be more money in the hands of people despite the Coronavirus effects.”

He said the ongoing cement and block works in Abuja is in the region of N25billion, and ACMA controls most part of it, “therefore we are also partnering with Dangote Cement to support our technology innovative drive.”

A major distributor with Dangote Cement and Chairman/CEO of Phildos Nigeria Limited Johnson Olushola described the new promo as a “welcome development and well timed given the season and the ravaging pandemic.”

He said the Dangote Cement is a company to partner with because it supports its clients and contributes to their growth. “Dangote Cement is very supportive, “he declared.

Chairman of the Progressive Block Makers in Tafa, Niger State Hon Yau Ahmed described the promo as reliable and credible, adding that the Dangote Cement has built its brand reputation even beyond the shores of Nigeria.

The Managing Director of First Block Makers in Lokoja, Oluwafemi Feri urged the Dangote Cement to distribute the winning bags evenly across the federation, saying a car and other prizes were won in the last promo by the Dangote Cement.

Meanwhile, Mallam Umar Bala the CEO of Zariyawa Blocks in Zaria, Kaduna State said during a phone interview that while commending the Dangote Cement for trying to reach its consumers, there was also the need to support them with training, financial empowerment and tools so that modern machines can be deployed in block making business.
