28 New Applications, 5 Extensions Received In NIPC’s Q2 Report 

The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) has released the Report of Pioneer Status Incentive (PSI) applications processed between 01 April and 30 June 2021.

The second qusrter report shows that 28 new applications and 5 extension applications were received during the period.

Also in the same period, seven approvals-in-principle were granted and no extension application was approved and no approvals were denied.

The Report revealed that 8 companies had their production date certificate confirmed. As at 30 June 2021, 31 companies were still enjoying PSI, 160 applications are still pending and no applications abandoned.

This report is based only on’ the articles cited in NIPC’s 134 newsletters published from January to June 2021; it may not contain exhaustive information on all investment announcements in Nigeria during the period.

Nevertheless, the report gives a sense of investors’ interest in the Nigerian economy.

NIPC did not independently verify the authenticity of the investment announcements but is working on tracking the announcements as they progress to actual investors.
