NEMA, Saudi Arabia Meet Over Relief Materials For Zamfara Victims Of Banditry

Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), AVM Ahmed Muhammed on Wednesday, received the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Ibraheem Alghamedi.

Discussions between the two leaders hinged on plans to distribute humanitarian support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre  @KSRelief_EN for persons affected by banditry in Zamfara State and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by insurgency in Borno and Yobe States.

@nemanigeria wrote: “The Director General of NEMA AVM MA Muhammed (rtd) @officialdgnema today received the Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, His Excellency Ibraheem Alghamedi.

“The DG NEMA was joined by the Director of Relief and Rehabilitation Mr Kayode Fagbemi and Hajiya Fatima Kasim of the Department of Planning Research and Forecasting.

“They discussed about preparations to distribute humanitarian support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre @KSRelief_EN for persons affected by banditry in Zamfara State and Internally Displaced Persons affected by insurgency in Borno and Yobe States.”

Recall that Zamfara State had been in the news for a long time, topping the list of states in the North-West Nigeria with the highest number of bandit attacks on the citizens which has killed many and rendered some homeless.
