Nigerians went awol as the first lady, wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari, advocated the use of traditional medicine as an integral part of health care services, urging them to embrace it for the treatment it offers through the use of natural plants and herbs.
Though represented by Hajiya Hajo Sani, she made the call in Abuja, at the book(s) presentation of three books by Zainab Sharif, a Pharmacist and Director / Head of Department, Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicines (TCAM), Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH).
This obviously did not go down well with the citizenry as they did not mince words in lambasting her for making the call.
