Anglican Communion Honours Emeka Okwuosa, Names Road After Him

The Chairman, Oilserv Ltd and founder of Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, Engr. Sir Emeka Okwuosa has been honoured by the All Saints Cathedral, Anglican Church, Onitsha Diocese.

At the dedication of its new Secretariat at All Saints Cathedral in Onitsha, the Diocese on the Niger named key roads in the expansive cathedral compound after some historical figures, and notable sons of the Anglican Communion.

Amongst the prominent honorees was Engr. Sir Emeka Okwuosa, Chairman of Oilserv Ltd and founder of Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation.

Engr. Sir Emeka Okwuosa Drive is located at the Cathedral Road to the Bishops court. At an impressive and well attended event, His Grace, The Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, Archbishop Metropolitan, and Primate of All Nigeria in company of The Rt. Rev. Dr. Owen C. Nwokolo, Bishop on the Niger; Archbishop Alex Ibezim, Bishop of Awka Diocese and Archbishop of Province on the Niger; and other top clergy from the Anglican Communion, unveiled the well tarred road.

They prayed over the road and prayed for the good health and progress of Engr. Sir Emeka Okwuosa, his Foundation and his family.

Hon. Azuka Okwuosa, on behalf of Sir Emeka Okwuosa thanked the distinguished team of clergy for their prayers.

He enumerated Sir Okwuosa’s contributions to the wellbeing of the body of Christ and to the less privileged.

He pledged, Engr. Okwuosa’s commitment to do more both as an individual and through his Foundation.

Other roads were named after prominent historical figures in the Anglican Communion like Bishop Alphonsus Onyeabo Drive; Archbishop J.A. Onyemelukwe Drive, and one after the respected Primate of All Nigeria, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba drive. There were beautiful, choreographed performances and special presentation by the Boys Brigade.

The one-kilometer drive named after Sir Emeka Okwuosa, is strategically located, and leads to and from the cathedral to the Bishops court. It is an honour reserved for a prominent son who continues to champion the causes of the church and its adherents wherever they are.
