BUA Group Buys 1m Doses of COVID-19 Vaccine

The BUA Group, a construction firm has announced the purchase of one million doses of COVID-19 vaccine for Nigeria.

Announcing this on its Twitter handle on Monday, the company said the Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccines will be delivered next week.

It said that the purchase is termed to be the first set of vaccines to be delivered to Nigeria since the onset of the pandemic.

BUA also stated the one million doses has been fully paid for by BUA and are to be distributed free to Nigerians.

A fortnight ago, MTN Africa announced the purchase of multiple vaccine doses to help the Africa Centre for Disease Control fight the pandemic. However, that of BUA is the first of such gesture towards the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) so far.
