Democracy Day: Adamawa APC Boasts Of Democratic Dividends Delivery

The Adamawa state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has praised the various achievements recorded by its elected and appointed representatives at the Federal and state levels in the last two years.

Ibrahim Bilal, the Adamawa State Chairman of the party, gave the commendation in Yola at the weekend during the activities to mark the 2021 Democracy Day celebration.

Bilal said that the scorecards of all the APC representatives in the state have shown that they out-performed those of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) led administration in the state.

The APC Chairman said that the reason for the occasion was to showcase the achievements of the party to the electorate.

He expressed gratitude to all the APC elected Federal lawmakers, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Boss Mustapha, appointees to President Muhammad Buhari’s administration and State Assembly Legislators for influencing many federal projects to Adamawa State.

He said that empowerment packages, relief materials and in some cases, job opportunities were provided to Adamawa’s teeming unemployed youths.

With such efforts, Bilal said that the party was poised to reclaim its stolen mandate at the state level during the upcoming 2023 general elections.

APC’s National Vice Chairman (North East), Professor Mamman Tahir said that the event provided a platform to take stock of the party’s performance and also evaluate the challenges.

Tahir who was represented by a Stalwart of the party, Alhaji Dahiru Bobboi, said the party was going through serious reorganisation culminating in the release of a time table for congresses to elect new leaders.

He therefore, urged the party’s leadership and stakeholders to work assiduously for a successful outing in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country.

Meanwhile, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has said democracy has come to stay despite the challenges of insecurity, COVID-19 pandamic and regional agitations .

Governor Fintiri said this in a press statement signed by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou on Sunday congratulating Nigerans for the two decades of uninterrupted democracy.

He appealed to the Adamawa electorate for understanding as his government would continue to work round the clock to provide more dividends of democracy despite the turbulent times being experienced.

“We will leave no community behind. Where there’s disillusionment, we will restore hope,” Fintiri said.
