Dunamis Church Offers Dagbana Community Free Medical Services

As part of events to mark the 8th Anniversary of the Church, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dagbana has rendered free Medical services ranging from , high Blood pressure check, weight check, temperature check and counseling to the community members.

Over one hundred and twenty eight people benefited from the medical out reach organized by the Church Mentainance Committee (welfare Committee ).

Thefact Nigeria gathered that Women , Children, Pregnant women , the elderly Men, women and youth seized the opportunity to participate in the exercise.

The Resident Pastor, Mr Johnson Mfreke while speaking said, ”Dunamis church Dagbana like any other branch started with a vision.

He said, the leadership of the Church saw the need for the church to be planted here, to be closer to the people.

“For the past 3 days the church has been busy with a lot of activities marking the 8th anniversary of the church. We tagged it as Explosive Praise,” he added.

Pastor Mfreke said, the medical outreach was organised by the church for the people to be treated.

“People needs to be treated. We need to treat the people in the neighborhood that’s why we announced that people should come out for the free medical treatment .

“Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists were all here. The maintenance committee worked together. The community came out so also we use the platform to win souls into the kingdom of God. About 30 souls were won,” he said.

The Pastor further noted that the event was not only for medical treatment, but also welfare package for people such as food items.

He said, it was the support and the efforts of the Church Mentainance Committee that this event happened . No any external individuals or the Government contributed.

He further said that the church combined both spiritual and medical to win Souls for God. Therefore, urged other Churches to do the same.

Speaking on behalf of the Mentainance Committee, the head of the medical team, Minister Gideon Musa said, “we want to appreciate the name of the Lord for giving us the wisdom to come up with this kind of programme.

“The medical outreach we embarked on was the initiative of the Pastor in collaboration with the entire Church maintenance committee,” he added.

He said the essence of the medical outreach was to connect people who are already been prayed for and are yet to receive their healings because of some other issues that maybe best known to them.

“it could be as a result of the ignorance . Most times, the sicknesses we suffered are not necessarily as a result of spiritual attack, some of them are born out of ignorance and our inability to discern on the right thing to do on time” . he said.

He further said that the committee felt it was good as a church that they attend to as many within the community who are suffering from one ailments to another.

Speaking further on the exercise, he said the major assignment God gave to us as a church was to reach out to people and Disciple them for Christ . Not necessarily to bring people to church but to tell them about Christ, to tell them that God really love them and their well-being especially their health .

Dr Ubong counsel the participants on regular Medical check up and to take necessary steps to ensure their general well-being and their reproductive health.

He however, urged the youth avoid reckless life style that will jeopardize their future health, and also pregnant women to always go for Antenatal Care to ensure the safety of their children.

He further advised the elderly people to engage themselves in activities that will revitalized their bodies and engage in brain exercise.

Mrs Choice U. , a resident of Dagbana who took part in the medical exercise said, she was informed by her neighbour, and when she got there, she’s impressed with the service the Church has rendered to humanity.

“I am grateful for what the church is doing. I am encouraging other churches to follow the same steps”, she said.

Another beneficiary, Mrs David D. also thanked the church for what they it is doing in the community.

“I thank the church for what they are doing for the community and its members. Qll I have to say is thank you and God bless you” .

Mr Peter who came to receive medication for ulcer, also got his drugs.

“As at the time I got there, they told me that the drugs had finished but later on, they called me and gave me the drugs,” he said.
