Engee PET To Expand Operations With $75m CP Project Early 2021

Engee PET Manufacturing Company Nigeria Limited is planning to commence work on the construction of its Continuous Polymerisation (CP) PET resin plant in Ogun State, early next year, the company and parent group, JOTNA Nigeria Ltd, have said.

The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2023.

Information obtained from the NIPC Newsletter said the group disclosed their intention to set up this plant during a visit to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) office headquarters recently.

“It is going to be a pioneering project – one of its kind in the country and West Africa,” Alexander Gendis, Managing Director, Engee PET stated while describing the new CP project.

Debasis Roy, CFO of JOTNA explained that the project will generate 350 jobs.

Responding, NIPC’s Executive Secretary/CEO, Ms Yewande Sadiku explained that NIPC was established to encourage, promote and coordinate investments in the country.

She said that the Commission would provide advisory and advocacy support to the group.
