Gov. Ayade Emerges APC C/River North Senatorial Candidate

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has emerged as the candidate for the All Progressive Congress(APC) at the end of the north senatorial fresh Primary election for the 2023 polls.

The primary election which was conducted at the ogoja local government area of the state on Thursday, was unopposed.

It was a fresh election that brought in Ben Ayade as the candidate following the voluntary withdrawal of Mr Martin Orim from the race.

TheFact Daily reports that Ayade who scored total votes of 252 in the fresh election was declared winner by the APC state chairperson, Mrs Sameera Tabo while the total of three votes were invalidated.

Mrs Tabo said, “following Martin Orim withdrawal from the race there was the need to conduct a fresh election for the party to produce a candidate for the senatorial election for the 2023 poll and we are all witness today that the state serving governor in person of Ben Ayade is the winner for the primary election”.

She urged electorates in the North Senatorial District to vote only for the governor for continuity of his services for the betterment of mankind.

Ayade also expressed his gratitude to the delegates for finding him worthy of their votes and promised not to disappoint them.

Recall, Ben Ayade contested in the APC presidential primary where he lost to Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
