Gunmen Attack Estate In Abuja City

Suspected bandits have reportedly attacked a residential estate in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

It was gathered that the attack on Genuine Estate, located close to EFAB Queens in Gwarinpa, occured in the early hours of this morning.

TheFact Nigeria learns that an unconfirmed number of residents were said to have been kidnapped from the estate, by the attackers who came armed with bows, arrows and machetes.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, disclosed that the police had already been mobilised to the scene to ascertain how the incident happened, as it was not yet clear if the incident was a case of kidnap or robbery.

She promised that the public would be duly notified after details of the incident had been ascertained.

The attack is coming barely hours after scores of worshippers were gunned down in a Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
