Ignore Any Letter On Disciplinary Actions Against Zamfara, It’s Fake ~ Yekini Nabena

The All progressive Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee has warned the general public to disregard any letter in the media claiming that disciplinary actions has been taken on some members of the party in Zamfara State based on the outcome of Bakura State Assembly by-election.

In a statement released on Thursday by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary Mr. Yekini Nabena, said the letter was never from them and therefore is fake. It further stated that APC authority will never interfere in state affairs, rather its is more committed to bringing aggrieved members together for reconciliation and peace.

He therefore charged members of the public to ignore such letter and its claims.

“The attention of the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a forged document circulating mainly via social media platforms on the matter of the Bakura State Assembly by election and the disciplinary action ordered by the party on members in Zamfara State.

He went further and assured the entire public that “The Party’s National Headquarters does not interfere in the State affairs as it affects the exercise of the constitutional provisions in the running of the various state chapters.

“The document did not emanate from the Secretary, APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe, as criminally ascribed by the forgers.

He added that “The mandate and focus of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC Caretaker Committee is to bring all aggrieved party members to the table to achieve peace and reconciliation. The Party remains resolute in achieving this mandate”.
