Lagos State Gov, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Hosts Ikorodu Bois

The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu recently hosted Nigerian skit makers and internet sensation, Ikorodu Bois.

He celebrated the young skit makers and praised them for their recent success.

The three brothers and cousin are well known for remaking movie trailers and music videos in a local way.

The visit comes after the young skit makers had their skits displayed on Times Square billboard courtesy of Netflix’s ‘Fans Make The Movies’ pre-Oscars campaign.

The governor on Monday, May 3, 2021 tweeted in favor of the young filmmakers.

In a tweet he said:”Today, I welcomed generational filmmaking talent @IkoroduB, whose creativity has put them and Ikorodu on the global map of international platforms like Netflix, earned them a nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and put their faces on billboards in Times Square, NY.”

Sanwo-Olu further indicated that the state is committed to developing creative talents.

“As a State, we are proud of them and I thank them for visiting me today. We are committed to developing creative talent in Lagos as we continue to serve as the premier destination for musical, art and creative talent generation in Africa.”
