NEMA Partners NIHSA On Flood Forecasting, Management

The National Emergency Many Agency, (NEMA) has said that it is in collaboration with the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) to enhance flood forecasting and management.

The collaboration will ensure the establishment of three Automatic Weather Observation Stations already awaiting installation.

Director General of NEMA, AVM Muhammad Mohammed made this known in a tweet posted on the official Twitter handle of NEMA, @nemanigeria.

AVM Mohammed said that the stations would be diversely used for hydrological predictions as well as to train students in the field of geography, engineering, agriculture, meteorology, climate change and other sciences.
