Nigeria To Simplify Ease Of Doing Business Regulations – Dr. Gwarzo

Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Nasir Sani- Gwarzo, has said that Nigeria is now set to implement simpler and better regulations to enhance ease of doing business in the Country.

Dr. Gwarzo made this known during the opening ceremony of a Two-Day Workshop on the Improvement of Business Enabling Environment and Industrial Policy Growth for the Staff of the Ministry which was recently held in Keffi, Nassarawa State.

He also disclosed that a lot of achievements have been recorded in the Ministry, first of all the Institutionalization of the Policy on the Ease of Doing Business, three Executive Orders have been promulgated which gave way for implementation of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) in the country.

Gwarzo said the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment is the focal implementing agency of government responsible for promoting the Ease of Doing Business and promotion of Industrial policy growth hence, reason it organized the sensitization workshop on improvement of Business Enabling Environment and Industrial Policy Growth in the North Central Geo-Political Zone front and the same programme will be replicated in other Geo- Political Zones of the Country.

‘’You can hear feedback of more commitment from staff and other Stakeholders who have attended this workshop indicating their readiness to promote Ease of Doing Business activities, so we do hope that more Nigerians will hear about the details and more will participate actively in the actualization of President Muhammadu Buhari’s dreams”

Director, Human Resource Management in the Ministry, Mr. Simon Alabi thanked the top Management Staff under the Leadership of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo, Minister of State, Amb. Mariam Yalwaji Katagum and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo mni, for providing focus Leadership in a manner to encourage the staff in pursuing the mandate of the Ministry.

“We want particularly to thank the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo for finding time to attend this event personally in spite of his tight schedules. We are grateful Sir for all that you are doing for us in the Ministry,” Alabi added.
