PMB Meets With Service Chiefs Ahead Of UK Medical Trip

President Muhammadu Buhari has met with Nigeria’s military service chiefs just before his scheduled trip to the United Kingdom for a medical routine check-up.

In a statement released on Monday, 29th March, Buhari’s Media and Publicity aide, Femi Adesina had disclosed that “President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up”.

He further said that the President would meet with security chiefs first thing in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.

TheFact Nigeria reports that attendees at the meeting include Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, Defense Minister, Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi (Rtd); Chief of Staff to the president, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, as well as the National Security Adviser, NSA,
Major-General Babagana Monguno (Rtd).

Others are Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, Chief of Naval Staff, CNS, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu, and Chief of the Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal lsiaka O. Amao.

Also in attendance are the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu; the Director-General of Department of State Services, DSS, Yusuf Bichi, and the Director-General, National Intelligence Agency NIA, Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
