Promise Kept: Lagos Gov Commissions Road Projects, Youth Centre

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday, commissioned some road projects and remodelled a youth centre in some parts of the state.

The Governor said that the projects which are expected to ease traffic flow were in fulfilment of campaign promises he made to the people.

Mr. Sanwo-Ollu also said that his government was investing in the development of the youth with the remodelling of the Abesan Youth Centre which embodies his government’s commitment to a legacy of youth development and the acceleration of social development programmes.

On his verified Twitter handle, @jidesanwoolu wrote: “Today, in fulfilment of a campaign promise made to the people of Alimosho, I commissioned the Phase II of Lagos-Ogun Boundary Road projects. The 4 critical road projects in Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA totaling 6.26 kilometres includes Old Otta Road, Adekoya Road…

“… Makinde Road and Suberu Oje Road with a 120-metre long bridge linking the boundary communities to Otta in Ogun State. Each project is a dual carriageway with reinforced concrete drains and walkways. The road projects provide an alternative route to Ogun State.

“… and will reduce traffic congestion. We are also investing in the development of our youth with the remodelling of the Abesan Youth Centre. The Centre embodies our commitment to a legacy of youth development and the acceleration of social development programmes.”
