TCN Again Transmits All-Time Peak Electricity Of 5,584MW

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has once again successfully transmitted another all-time peak of 5,584.40 megawatts (MW).

The new peak was recorded by the power sector on Thursday, January 7th 2021, at 9:15pm.

This is coming just 24 hours after the previous peak of 5,552.80MW was recorded on Wednesday January 6th, 2021 at 8:15pom that was equally transmitted, TCN said in a statement by its spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah.

This latest all-time peak transmitted, surpasses the last peak generation of 5,552.80MW transmitted by TCN by 31.60MW.

The management of TCN assured that it will continue to work hard to ensure efficient transmission of power generated on the nation’s electricity grid.

The records show that apart from the two recorded already as this year begins, TCN had announced four peak power generation in 2020: 5,377MW and 5,420MW were recorded in August while 5,459MW and 5,520MW were recorded in October.
