Tenant Sells Osun Landlord To Kidnappers For N1m

Officers of the Osun State Police Command have arrested a tenant who allegedly sold his landlord to some kidnappers for N1 million.

Confirming the incident Tuesday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Yemisi Opalola, said the decomposing body of the aged landlord, Oladepo Asaolu, was discovered in a bush four days after he had gone missing.

TheFact Daily gathered that Asaolu, an indigene of Ora-Igbomina, Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun State, and who was the Babaloja (traditional ruler) of the ancient town, was said to have been declared missing on October 5, 2022 after a motorcyclist came to his house in Ora-Igbomina around 5am and took him to an unknown place.

The deceased was said to have informed neighbours that the unknown bike man was taking him to his farm. However, his corpse was found four days later in a bush.

According to Opalola, the deceased’s abductors have been arrested as four of them are presently in police custody.
