UN Appoints Coomassie As Credential Ambassador

The United Nations (UN) has appointed Hussaini Coomassie as the organisation’s credential Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goals( SDG).

The appointment was unveiled on Wednesday by the Deputy Head of Mission, International Peace Commission, Jonathan Daniel and his management team in Abuja.

Reacting to the appointment, Ambassador Coomassie said he was overwhelmed by the gesture .

Commassie who is also the Coordinator, Advocacy for good governance and Social Justice Global said , “ the appointment means alot to me, it’s a morale booster to enable me achieve my goals in touching lives positively, especially in the area of women empowerment, anti rape campaign, anti child labour and compulsory normadic education among others”.

He added that, “I am dedicating the award to no other person but Nigeria’s minister of justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami( SAN)”. He said

This was as he described Malami as the stabiliser of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Administration.
