We Didn’t Originate Comment On Muslim VP For Tinubu -NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCLimited) has said, the comment on Muslim Vice President for Tinubu, the Presidential flagbearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2023 general elections was not from the company.

NNPC Limited however, said, its Twitter handle (@NNPCgroup) was compromised and used to send the message on 8th June 2022 at 6:35pm.

NNPC’s comment in its compromised Twitter handle was in response to Igwe @Ssaasquatch who says, “the future doesn’t look all bright for Tinubu. He can’t run with a Muslim VP and the few Christian choices from the North don’t have the required political clout. Interesting to see how this plays out”.

Of which the NNPCLimited @NNPCgroup replied, “He will run with a Muslim VP”.

Nevertheless, NNPC in a “Disclaimer” said, the general public is hereby informed that #NNPCLimited’s Twitter handle (@NNPCgroup) was compromised and used to send an inappropriate message on 8th June 2022 at 6:35pm.

,”The breach has been addressed, and the Twitter handle successfully recovered.

“#NNPCLimited wishes to reassure the general public that it remains committed to doing business in the most ethical manner at all times”.
