In line with the new Manpower Development Policy of the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the posting and redeployment of twenty-four Assistant Inspectors General of Police, AIGs, to various Zonal Commands and formations.
This was made known in a statement issued today by the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, CP Frank Mba.
TheFact Nigeria had, yesterday, 26 July, reported the occasion of the decoration of twenty-four newly promoted AIGs at the Force Headquarters, during which the IGP had announced the new Nigeria Police Manpower Development Policy, which he said was aimed at identifying, elevating and positioning professionally competent officers to respond to emerging current security threats in the country.
According to the order, AIG Zaki M. Ahmed heads SPU FHQ Abuja, AIG Mustapha Dandaura takes charge of Zone 4, Makurdi, while CTU, FHA is to be headed by AIG Dasuki D. Galadanchi. Also, while Zone 17, Akure has AIG Okon Etim Ene as head, Border Patrol FHQ, Abuja is assigned to AIG Usman D. Nagogo
Others are, AIG Bala Ciroma, for ZONE 7 Abuja, AIG Adeleke Adeyinka Bode, for Zone 9, Umuahia, and AIG Muri Umar Musa for Ukpo-Dunukofia Awka. AIG Lawal Jimeta Tanko is the new Commandant, Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, AIG Usman Alhassan Belel heads FCID Annex, Lagos, AIG Adebola Emmanuel Longe is in charge of DOPS FHQ, Abuja, and AIG Musa Adze oversees Investment FHQ, Abuja.
Furthermore, DICT FHQ Abuja, is to be headed by AIG Philip Sule Maku, Zone 6, Calabar, to be headed by AIG Usman Sule Gonna, Cooperative to be headed by AIG Adamu Usman, and Zone 3, Yola is to be headed by AIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro.
In addition, AIG Ahmed Mohammed Azare takes over DTD FHQ, Abuja, AIG Maigana Alhaji Sani heads FCID Annex, Kaduna, AIG Audu Adamu Madaki is in charge of Zone 12, Bauchi, AIG John Ogbonnnaya Amadi heads Maritime, Lagos, and AIG Ede Ayuba Ekpeji takes charge of Zone 8, Lokoja.
In the same vein, AIG Mohammed L. Bagega takes charge of Armament at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, AIG Bello Makwashi heads Zone 15, Maiduguri and AIG Balarabe Abubakar oversees Works at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The IGP has assured the nation that the posting and redeployment of the Senior Police Officers will further help in driving the new policing vision, which amongst other things, is targeted at improving policing services across the country and effectively responding to security threats in the country.
The posting and the redeployment of the Senior Police Officers is with immediate effect.
