CAN Commiserates With Foursquare Gospel Church Over Former G.O’s Death
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commiserated with the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria over the death of it’s former General Overseer, Dr Wilson Badejo.
CAN’s condolence message was contained in a statement on Saturday by it’s General Secretary, Barrister Joseph Daramola.
TheFact Nigeria reports that the former general overseer died on Saturday after a brief illness at the age of 74.
According to the statement,”The National Secretary of the church, Rev. Yomi Oyinloye reportedly disclosed that Badejo, who was the church’s leader between 1999 and 2009, relocated to the great beyond on Saturday after a brief illness.
“The great Servant of God contributed immensely to the expansion and the growth of the Gospel during his lifetime especially as the General Overseer of the Church.
“ He was a visionary, disciplined, hardworking, result-oriented and godly leader. It is painful that he departs when his godly counsels are needed most.
“Our heart goes to his immediate family and the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria such as times as these and we pray to God to console and comfort them.
“The vacuum created by his departure; no doubt will be difficult to be filled but this will be done by God Himself. Our joy is that the departed God’s General sleeps in the Lord whom he served sincerely all his lifetime.
