Paul Okoye Narrates Encounter With Police
Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye of the defunct Psquare music group has shared his encounter with some of the members of the Police Force in Lagos.
The singer, via the Insta-stories section of his Instagram page showed his displeasure in the operations of the security operatives in Lagos.
He recounted his experience by revealing that he recently visited a club for the first time in 2 years and saw that the Police had put barricades on every road on the Island, extorting people.
The superstar who took to his social media page to air his displeasure at the force wrote:
“went to the club for the first time after 2yrs plus…mehn…For God sake why are they traffic at 2-3am. Barricades everywhere in Lagos Island… Police extortion every angle with no shame.
Mostly at club junctions and places that lead to people’s home… Meanwhile you can’t find them on roads leading to third mainland bridge. Big Man, Chairman, Big Boy Anything for us? Shi shi una no go see for my hand”.
Another Nigerian singer, Ruggedman also advised that Nigerians who own cars should make sure they get all necessary documents for their vehicles in order to avoid being extorted by Police officers.
The singer also indicated via the post that he would not give money to any Police officer and advised his fans and followers to do the same.
According to him, his choice to not give money to any Police officer is because of the way they treat innocent Nigerians.
