Acting Inspector-General of Police IGP, Mr Usman Alkali Baba, has approved the re-appointment of Mr Frank Mba as the Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO.
He has also approved the posting of Mr Hafiz Inuwa, an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, as the Force Secretary, while Mr Idowu Owohunwa assumes duty as the Principal Staff Officer PSO.
According to Mba, who disclosed this in a statement in Abuja yesterday, the new force secretary takes over from Mr Mustapha Dandaura, an AIG who had been redeployed to Zone-7 Police Headquarters, Abuja.
Hafiz Inuwa, who holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration, MPPA, was, prior to his appointment, the AIG in charge of Zone-13, Anambra. A member if the National Institute Of Policy And Strategic Studies, NIPPS, Kuru, Jos, he previously served as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Delta and Cross River States, among other strategic positions.
Mba, a lawyer and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations NIPR, is an alumnus of the University of Dundee, Scotland, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Law.
He also holds a Diploma in Police Strategic Management from the University of Virginia, and is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, National Academy in Quantico, also in Virginia, United States.
Mba holds a certificate in National and International Security from Harvard University, United States.
Idowu Owohunwa, the appointed Principal Staff Officer, PSO, holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies and Policing from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
According to the statement, the appoitnments take immediate effect.
