Edo Election: APC Hails Okpebholo, Tinubu, INEC, Others

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as well deserved the emergence of Monday Okpebholo as Governor-Elect in the September 21, 2024, gubernatorial election in Edo State. 

In a statement issued late on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, Esq., the party said his victory in the keenly contested election is an attestation that his message of hope and restoration resonated with the good people of Edo State. 

APC said, the victory was also an indication of the implicit confidence in the transformational leadership of the APC-led federal government and its Renewed Hope agenda envisioned to bring the country into true greatness and enduring prosperity.

It said , with his emergence, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, the Party’s Leader, has proven, yet again, that he is a true flag bearer of democracy by ensuring a level playing field.

The party salutes the commitment of leaders and members of the party under the guidance of its national chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Umar Ganduje, and distinguished members of the national working committee of the party. 

It said it’s indebted to the leadership of the National Assembly, Progressive Governors, leaders, and teeming members for standing strong in support of the party and the victorious candidate. 

The party also applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its professionalism and hailed the law enforcement agencies for their exceptional diligence during the election. 

It expressed deep appreciation to the Edo electorate for standing firm in support of the great party and voting decisively for the candidate. 

“We are confident that Okpebholo’s leadership will usher in a new era of peace, people-centred development, and prosperity for the  state,” it said.
