…Announces Scheduled Outages In Lugbe, Karu, Nyanya, Others
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has upgraded the power feeders in the National Assembly complex, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and others to Band A tariff, effective January 1, 2025.
AEDC, in a Public Notice on Friday said the tariff for the feeders in the areas were upgraded to Band A, having fulfilled the service requirement of 20 hours average supply in the month of December.
The feeders are in Gwarinpa, Garki, Asokoro, Wuse, Maitama, Wuye, Kuje and Gwagwalada.
The other areas served by the feeders are: Works and Housing, War College, Airforce Quarters, Survey General Office, Wuse Zone 6, Merit House, Maitama Height, MTN Headquarters, Oakland Center, Kuje Substation amongst others.
The DisCo also announced that there will be power interruptions from January 6 – 21, 2025, due to the plan by the FCDA to relocate the 33KV DC Airport Feeder and 132KV Kukwaba-Apo Transmission Line Towers along the Outer Southern Expressway.
Following this development, the company said the under-listed areas would experience outages during the period.
They are: Lugbe & environs, Airport Road, Kapwa, NNPC, Games Village, National Stadium, Eye Clinic, Indoor Complex, Christ Embassy Church, American International School, Spring Court, American Embassy Quarters, EFCC HQ, Coca Cola, Railway, FMC, Parts of Apo, Parts of Gudu, Gbazango & environs, Parts of Kubwa, Bwari & environs, Parts of Jahi, Parts of Jabi, Karu, Nyanya, Mararaba, Keffi & environs, and other parts of Abuja.
