The Nigerian Army (NA) has debunked a misleading video circulating online, claiming a shooting incident in northern Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the NA stated that it had verified the video and confirmed that it depicts a tragic incident that occurred in Burkina Faso, carried out by members of the Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) terrorist group on 29th and 30th January 2025.
In the video, JNIM deployed male child fighters aged between 9 and 13, armed with automatic weapons to attack Burkinabe security forces.

The NA advised the general public to verify facts before sharing sensitive content to avoid spreading misinformation.
