Atalanta BC Sacks Manager, Ivan Juric Over Poor Performance

Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio Football Club, has sacked its Manager, Ivan Juric following a 3-0 home defeat by Sassuolo on Sunday, which leaves the club in 13th place in Serie A table after 11 matches in the 2025-2026 season.

Ivan Juric, who succeeded Gian Piero Gasperini was sacked on Monday alongside his closest staff after a heated argument with Ademola Lookman, the Nigerian international player.

The Club, in a statement posted on its website, said it has officially parted ways with Ivan Juric as the Club Manager.

The statement read thus: “Atalanta BC announces that it has today relieved Ivan Juric of his duties as head coach of the First Team, along with his closest staff members, namely Matteo Paro, Miguel Veloso, Paolo Barbero, Stjepan Ostojic and Michele Orecchio.

“The Club thanks Ivan Juric and his entire staff for their dedication, and wishes them all the best for the future.”

Report has it that Atalanta is finalising talks with Raffaele Palladino, who is expected to sign a contract until 2027. Although, it hasn’t been made official.
