Boko Haram Strikes Again In Yobe, Sacks Residents
A combination of Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have again launched another attack at Geidam Local Government Area.
The attack took place Tuesday at about 5:30 pm, with the terrorists breaking into shops and looting food and drugs.
TheFact Nigeria gathered from a credible security source that the insurgents had established camps in villages in Yunusari local government, from where they invaded Geidam, forcing villagers to flee thier homes.
“It is from the hideouts in the surrounding villages that the terrorists are launching the attack on Geidam for foodstuffs and drugs”, the source said.
It was also gathered that the Insurgents are greatly aided by informants to and terrorist sympathizers in those communities, who not only leak vital information to the terrorists, but harbour them in their homes and settlements, while assisting them plant landmines against Nigerian troops. These nefarious activities of the informants, security sources say, are rife in several local governments, and were sabotaging military operations in some parts of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States.
