Broda Shaggi Was Not Shot In Ogun State -Police

The Ogun State Police Command has clarified reports alleging that popular entertainer, Samuel Animashaun Perry, known professionally as Broda Shaggi,  was shot within the state, stating that no such incident has been recorded within its jurisdiction.

In a statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babseyi, said it could not confirm that the alleged shooting occurred anywhere in Ogun State, noting that no report of such an incident has been received at any police formation across the state.

TheFact Daily gathers that popular comedian and skit maker Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, had reportedly been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot injury in the Sango-Ota area of Ota of Ogun state. According to reports, the incident was said to have occurred under the Sango-Ota bridge on Sunday afternoon, although details surrounding the shooting remain unclear.

A police source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the content creator sustained the gunshot injury while filming a comedy skit at the location, adding
that Shaggi was immediately rushed to the Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos State, where he received initial treatment.
The Ogun state Command, however, explained that it has initiated steps to verify the claim in line with its commitment to professionalism and transparency.

According to the police, necessary investigations are ongoing to ascertain the facts surrounding the report and determine the true circumstances of the allegation.

Residents were advised to rely only on official police communication while the investigation continues.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of residents and maintaining law and order across the state.
