The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has called for applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill existing Mid-Management positions in the Federal Fire Service (FFS).
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary of the Board, Maj. Gen. A M Jibril (Rtd) on Tuesday.
The vacant positions include: Deputy Controller of Fire (DCF), CONPASS 14; Assistant Controller of Fire, CONPASS 13; Chief Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 12; Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 11 and Assistant Superintendent of Fire, CONPASS 10.
According to the Board, interested applicants shall be required to submit their applications including scanned and attached documents through the Board’s E-MAIL: [email protected] within one week from the date of the notice, adding that they can apply for only one position as multiple applications will automatically disqualify a candidate.
It stated that applicants must be an employee from Federal, States or Local Governments’ Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) and must have a minimum height of 1.65metres for males and 1.60metres for females, must be physically/mentally fit and must apply to the Secretary to the Board via its dedicated e-mail: [email protected];
Other requirements include: a letter of Identification from his/her Local Government of Origin; evidence of Confirmation of Appointment; three (3) years APER/PMS as applicable; vCertified True Copy (CTC) of Record of Service.
It further stated that applicants must not have any criminal record, must submit copy(ies) of letter of previous appointment(s); must possess Medical Certificate of Fitness from a Government recognized hospital, must be free from any financial embarrassment, warning that “personnel of the Paramilitary Services are not eligible to apply”
“Applications must be submitted via dedicated Board’s E-MAIL and documents be submitted in pdf format not later than 15th December, 2025,” the Board stated, emphasizing that “application is absolutely free.”
