The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire has said that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is no longer a big man’s disease, as it has spread like wildfire in high-density areas.
Dr. Ehanire however, said, since necessity is the mother of invention, it was important for all hands to be on deck in order to salvage the situation.
He commended the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology for its various efforts aimed at flattening the curve and curbing Coronavirus in the country.
Speaking at the end of a high- powered meeting held by the two Ministries at the headquarters of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Ehanire said he was highly impressed with the creativity and innovation displayed by the agencies of the Federal Ministry of science and Technology.
Dr. Ehanire said he was particularly impressed with the strides made by The National National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) in the area of reverse engineering, adding that the Ministry was endowed with wealthy collection of credible knowledge.
The Director Press & Publicity, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abdulganiyu Aminu in a statement quoted the Minister of Health to have further added that the just concluded meeting will challenge the two parties to bring out the creative prowess of her scientists and researchers to come up with credible solutions to the Covid-19 pandemic.
