The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar has emphasized the critical role of data-driven evaluation in refining operations and achieving national security goals.
The CAS made the emphasis on Wednesday, at the conclusion of a 3-day capacity-building workshop on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Management, organized by the Standards and Evaluation Branch and facilitated by Neo Cloud Technologies.
The workshop brought together evaluators from various Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Commands and units across the country, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and promoting evidence-based decision-making.
The workshop, which aligns with the CAS’s philosophy of deliberate training and mission-oriented development, focused on strengthening evaluators’ understanding of data-driven processes to measure performance and assess the strategic impact of NAF operations.
Participants were introduced to modern evaluation tools, including software for impact assessment and cost-benefit analysis.
These tools will enable more accurate assessments, enhance accountability, and support strategic alignment—equipping NAF evaluators to contribute effectively to the Service’s vision of a professional and agile force ready to meet evolving security challenges.
