The Federal Ministry of Education has said that it was deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Ismail Junaidu, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC).
Director, Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Folasade Boriowo disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Boriowo stated that, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman in a condolence message said, “On behalf of the entire Ministry, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the NERDC and the family of Professor Junaidu during this difficult time.”
Professor Mamman described Professor Junaidu as a visionary leader and champion of education, whose dedication and passion made a lasting impact on the sector. “His tireless efforts and commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on our nation’s educational landscape.”
The Minister prayed for the repose of Professor Junaidu’s soul and comfort for his loved ones during this difficult time.
