EFCC, NOUN Resolve To Forge Collaboration
The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, and the Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, Professor Olufemi Peters, have resolved to collaborate in areas of mutual interest.
The resolution was the highlight of discussions held when a team from the anti-graft agency, led by Director of Administration and Human Resources, Ibrahim Mohammed, who represented the Chairman of the Commission, visited the institution in Jabi, Abuja, on Thursday, 29 July, 2021
Mohammed said the aim of the visit was to explore areas for collaboration to the benefit both organizations especially in the areas Information and Communication Technology, ICT, forensics and training.
Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the EFCC Chairman, Hadiza Gamawa, called on the two organisations to take advantage of their close proximity to forge a mutually beneficial partnership.
“There is a need to reach out to one another in view of our proximity, have a formal engagement to enable us to partner in areas that will be of interest to us all”, she said.
Gamawa added that the Commission would be willing to partner with the institution in both academic and non-academic areas, including use of the institution’s recreational facilities.
Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peters thanked the delegation for the visit, and requested a meeting with the EFCC Chairman to formalize the relationship between the institutions.
