
The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has extended his warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan,
Adelabu, in his goodwill message, commended the Muslim faithful for their devotion, sacrifice, and steadfastness during Ramadan, urging them to sustain the virtues of piety, charity, and unity beyond the holy month.
According to his Special Adviser on Strategic Communications and Media Relations,
Bolaji Tunji, the Minister emphasized that Eid-ul-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also a moment for deep reflection on the lessons of Ramadan which are patience, compassion, and gratitude.
He noted that the self-discipline exhibited during the fasting period should inspire Nigerians to work collectively towards national progress, particularly in critical sectors such as power, which is vital for economic and social development.
“The holy month of Ramadan has taught us the importance of resilience, selflessness, and faith. As we celebrate Eid, let us carry forward these values in ours daily lives, fostering harmony and contributing to the growth of our nation,” the Minister stated.
Adelabu reassured Nigerians of the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to improving electricity supply across the country. He acknowledged the challenges faced by citizens and reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to implementing sustainable solutions that will ensure stable, affordable, and reliable power for all.
“The power sector remains a key priority for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. We are working tirelessly to address infrastructural gaps, enhance generation, strengthen transmission and distribution networks to meet the energy needs of every Nigerian, including our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrating this joyous occasion,” he said.
Chief Adelabu also urged Nigerians to support government efforts by promoting energy conservation, reporting illegal connections, and safeguarding power installations in their communities.
In the spirit of Eid, the Minister called for unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences. He emphasized that national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.
“Eid-ul-Fitr is a reminder of the blessings of unity and brotherhood. Let us embrace one another with love and continue to work together for the peace and prosperity of our great nation,” he urged.
In his message, Chief Adelabu also prayed for Nigeria’s peace, progress, and prosperity. He expressed optimism that with collective effort and divine guidance, the country will overcome its challenges and achieve greater heights.
“May the blessings of Eid bring joy, peace, and fulfillment to every home. May Allah (SWT) accept our acts of worship, grant our nation enduring peace, and bless us with prosperity.”
