FAAN explained that its recruitment and staff progression procedures are anchored on due process and merit, stressing that it would not deviate from existing frameworks that ensure equity across all cadres.

The Authority also disclosed that its Managing Director has approved a further internal review of certain employment-related concerns that have recently come to management’s attention.

According to the statement, the review is intended to strengthen clarity, ensure uniform application of policies, and reinforce staff confidence in the systems governing career advancement.

FAAN further clarified that no employee is ever compelled to suppress or alter their qualifications at any stage of the recruitment process.

It noted that all engagements are based on advertised positions, required qualifications at the time, and the voluntary submissions of applicants. Any subsequent policy adjustments, it added, are handled responsibly and in line with public service rules.

Reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on workplace misconduct, the Authority emphasized that all forms of harassment, intimidation, and abuse of office are strictly prohibited.

The authority assured that its internal reporting and disciplinary mechanisms remain active, confidential, and firmly enforced to safeguard the dignity and well-being of employees.

FAAN added that it remains committed to sustaining a professional work environment that rewards integrity, respects hierarchy, encourages career growth, and promotes high operational standards across critical units, including Aviation Security (AVSEC), Aviation Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS), and other technical departments.

The statement noted that management appreciates the dedication of staff and encourages continued cooperation, dialogue, and adherence to due process as the authority pursues its vision of becoming a world-class airport service provider.
