Fani Kayode Released From DSS Detention
The Director of the new media of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Femi Fani Kayode has been released from the detention of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Fani Kayode made this known during a media briefing at the party national secretariat on Monday in Abuja.
The ex-minister was invited by the DSS following his tweet that certain politicians are working with the military high command over possible coup.
Kayode said, after clarification was made by the military over his tweet, he admitted that he was wrong for making such tweet that has to do with national security concerns.
He also responded to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) calling for his arrest to focus on real issues and what their candidate has to offer, saying that if there was anyone that needed to be arrested, it should be Atiku Abubakar over the spv fraud.
Also at the brieflying was the director of media and publicity of the presidential campaign council; Bayo onunaga who says, “the party was ready to stand by Femi Fani Kayode throughout his ordeal at the hands of DSS over his tweet and as to ensure that his fundamental human rights was not violated.”
He appreciated the heads of security agencies in the country for their role in defending the country’s
democracy.
