The Commissioner of Police FCT Command, CP Olatunji Disu, has visited Mpape, Dawaki and Tipper garage Gwarimpa to assess the security situation and evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing security deployments in the area.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Wednesday, said the visit is in fulfillment of the Commissioner’s zero tolerance policy to crime and criminality within the Federal Capital Territory.
CP Disu during his visit, assessed scrap yards known to be favored by miscreants who wish to quickly dispose of stolen items. He interacted with various market union representatives and community members, listening to their concerns and reaffirming the Command’s dedication to prompt and professional responses to all emerging threats.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police, union leaders, business owners and residents, and encouraged them to remain vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious activities, while reiterating that the FCT Command will spare no effort in fighting crime and ensuring that the FCT remains a safe place for residents and businesses alike.
