FCT Police Flags Off Activities To Mark 2026 National Police Day

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has officially commenced activities to mark the 2026 National Police Day celebration.

Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, who announced this in a statement on Monday, explained that the opening day featured a community sanitation exercise in Area 1, Abuja.

The opening day, according to her, also featured a free medical outreach aimed at providing essential healthcare services to residents, particularly vulnerable groups.

SP Adeh said the initiative underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to community engagement, public health, and environmental sustainability, while strengthening the bond between the police and the citizens they serve.

She disclosed that residents of the area benefited from the exercise and commended the Command for its proactive approach to promoting a cleaner environment and accessible healthcare.

The FCT Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Muhammad, reaffirmed its dedication to service, partnership, and people-centered policing as activities for the National Police Day celebration continue.
