The Federal Fire Service and the Nigerian Navy have forged a new partnership aimed at tackling emergency situations and safeguarding national assets.
This strategic collaboration was reached on Tuesday when the controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Engr. Jaji Abdulganiyu paid the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, a courtesy visit at the Naval Headquarters in Abuja.
A statement posted by the Service on its X handle said, the visit was initiated to discuss and formalize a new collaboration aimed at enhancing national safety and emergency response.
“This strategic courtesy visit highlighted the mutual commitment of both agencies to improve coordination in tackling emergency situations and safeguarding national assets”, it added.
The Service further disclosed that discussions centred on developing joint initiatives that leverage the strengths and resources of both organizations to address complex challenges effectively.
It said, the key areas of collaboration include joint capacity development through training and workshops designed to effectively address current challenges.
The Service said, the Chief of Naval Staff welcomed the partnership, stressing the Navy’s dedication to supporting its efforts.
