The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has promoted 120 senior officers across various ranks, marking a significant step in its ongoing human capacity development efforts.
The Corps, in a statement on Friday, said the exercise—approved by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and effective from January 1, 2026—reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening institutional leadership while rewarding professionalism, diligence, and years of meritorious service.
A breakdown shows that 19 officers were elevated to Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), 55 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) promoted to Corps Commander (CC), and 46 Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC) advanced to Deputy Corps Commander (DCC).
The 19 officers elevated to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) in the exercise are: A. Oki, N.S. Joseph, C.Z. Mathew, S.E. Dawulung, F.A. Ogidan, A.O. Ruka, A.O. Ugah, U.E. Oji and I.M. Bazzama.
Others are: F.N. Theman, fnarc, O.E. Joseph, R.E. Akpabio, U.B. Amaechi, A. Owolabi, Leye Adeboboye, fsi, M.O. Egbe, B.S. Akanji, F.O. Etta, and K Tsukwan.
The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, congratulated the newly promoted officers, describing the exercise as a testament to the Corps’ dedication to excellence, discipline, and structured career progression. He urged the beneficiaries to justify the confidence reposed in them through enhanced commitment, leadership, and professionalism.
He further noted that promotion is not merely a reward but a call to greater responsibility, charging the officers to deploy their experience toward advancing the Corps’ mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and ensuring safer roads nationwide.
The Corps also directed that all promoted officers refrain from adorning their new ranks until they are formally decorated, in line with established procedures.
The promotion exercise underscores FRSC’s continued drive to build a motivated, disciplined, and result-oriented workforce committed to saving lives on Nigerian roads.
