Goronyo Pays Traditional Sallah Homage To Sultan Of Sokoto

The Minister of State, Water Resources and Sanitation, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Goronyo Esq., on Wednesday paid a traditional Sallah homage to His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar.

Goronyo went in company of the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmad Aliyu, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Idris Muhammad Gobir and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Sarkin Yamman Sakkwato.

According to the statement by the Director Information and Public Relations of the Ministry, Funmi Imuetinyan on Thursday said, the traditional Sallah homage which took place at the Sultan’s Palace in Sokoto, epitomized the deep respect for the Caliphate and the solidarity shared among the esteemed leaders of Sokoto State.

It underscored the importance of tradition, unity, and collective aspirations in fostering development and harmony within the State.

During the visit, discussions centered on matters of mutual interest, including initiatives aimed at promoting the tradition, the socio-economic growth, peace, and prosperity for all citizens of Sokoto State.

His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, graciously received the delegation, emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts in advancing the welfare of the people.

The Minister of State, Rt. Hon. Goronyo, Governor Ahmad Aliyu, Deputy Governor Engr. Idris Muhammad Gobir, and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Sarkin Yamman Sakkwato expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to them by His Eminence and reaffirmed their commitment to working tirelessly towards the advancement and well-being of Sokoto State and its people.

“This auspicious occasion serves as a testament to the enduring bonds of unity, mutual respect, and cooperation among the leadership of Sokoto State, as they continue to steer the state towards greater heights of progress and prosperity”, he said.
