Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has extended his condolences to the Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, over the death of his son, Peter Moro, and his grandson, Abba Moro Jnr.
In a condolence message signed on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, the Governor described the deaths of the Senator’s two sons within twenty hours of each other, as painful and devastating, stating that anyone who believes in humanity would be touched by the double tragedy.
TheFact Daily gathered that Victor Peter Moro, the Senator’s son, who recently completed his studies in Turkey and returned to Nigeria to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), tragically died in a fatal motor along Abuja-Keffi Road in Nasarawa state on October 19, 2025.
This tragic incident occurred just a day after the burial of his 10-year-old nephew, Aba Moro Jr., Senator Moro’s grandson, who was reportedly traveling from the family home to attend to personal matters before he met his death.
Governor Alia urged the Senate Minority leader, his family, the people of Benue South, and the entire State to accept what has happened as the will of God, who gives and takes away life.
He prayed to God to grant the departed sons, eternal rest.
