Kano State Government, has officially banned the operations of Tricycle, popularly known in Kano as ‘A Daidata Sahu’ from 10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.with effect from Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba who disclosed this in a statement on Monday said, the decision was reached at the end of a state security meeting.
TheFact Daily gathered that hoodlums have reportedly been using tricycles to perpetrate their nefarious activities in the state.

“The measure was part of efforts to ensure security of lives and property in the state,” it stated.
The statement urged tricycle operators to comply and stop operating at the stipulated time, warning that security agents would strictly enforce the ban.
