Kaduna Gov. Sani Names Goroh-Shadalafiya, Maiyaki, Three Others In Fresh Appointments

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved the appointment of Rt Hon Nuhu Goroh-Shadalafiya, Ahmed Abdullahi Maiyaki, Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu, Engr. Idris Aminu, and Mr. Bamai Abu Nehamiah to serve in key positions of his government.
The fresh appointments were announced in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Muhammad Lawal Shehu on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Shehu said, the appointments were in line with the administration’s efforts to reinvigorate the machinery of government and quicken the pace of governance of the state.
Rt Hon Nuhu Goroh-Shadalafiya, was appointed as Chairman, Kaduna State Legislative Service Commission, subject to confirmation by the Kaduna State House of Assembly -KSHA.
Ahmed Abdullahi Maiyaki was appointed as Managing Director, Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), while Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu was appointed as Managing Director, Kaduna Market Development and Management Company.
Engr Idris Aminu was appointed as Managing Director, Kaduna State Power Supply Company, while Mr. Bamai Abu Nehemiah was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Security.
Rt. Hon. Nuhu Goroh-Shadalafiya, the new Chairman of, the Kaduna State Legislative Service Commission (subject to confirmation by the KSHA), haiis from Kagarko Local Government.
He holds a Masters in Public Policy Analysis from Nasarawa State University.
He was a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly from 2015 – 2019 and from 2020 to date. He was also the Deputy Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly from 2018 – 2019.
Other key positions he has held in recent years are Member of, the Presidential Campaign Council, Northwest Grassroots Engagement and Orientation, Member of Kaduna State Campaign Council, and Assistant Director, Contact and Mobilization, amongst others.
Ahmed Maiyaki, the new MD, KSMC, holds a Master’s and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Prior to his appointment, Maiyaki held several positions where he demonstrated excellent leadership skills such as Acting Chairman, Data, Research and Verification Committee, Independent Presidential Campaign Council (ICC) 2022 – 2023, Deputy Director, Strategic Communication, Kaduna State Campaign Council 2022 – 2023, Deputy Director General/Campaign Secretary, Kaduna Central Senatorial District Campaign Council, Senior Special Assistant to Kaduna State Governor, Community Relations and Engagement 2019 – 2022, Director General/ Special Adviser to Kaduna State Governor, Media and Publicity 2013 – 2015, amongst others.
Ibrahim AbdulKarim Adamu, the new MD Kaduna Market Development and Management Company, is a seasoned accountant with decades of experience as a public servant. Born in 1966 in Saminaka, he holds a B.Sc. in Accounting, Masters degree in business administration, and another Masters Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
Engineer Idris Aminu was born in 1986. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Igbinedion University and Masters Degrees in Disaster Risk Management and Information Management from Ahmadu Bello University.
Prior to his appointment as MD KAPSCO, Engineer Aminu worked with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) as the Team Lead HSE – Engineering and Performance Monitoring Division.
Bamai Abu Nehemiah, the Senior Special Assistant on Security to the Kaduna State Governor, holds a B.Sc. in Criminology and Security Studies. He has served in several positions in the Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja, and Department of State Services (DSS), National Headquarters, Abuja.
According to the statement, the appointments were based on the proven track records of the appointees and their commitment to the service of Kaduna State.
“These strategic appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to harnessing the brightest and most innovative minds to move Kaduna State forward”, the statement said.
It said, “while congratulating the new appointees, Governor Uba Sani urged them to be diligent and fashion effective strategies and operational plans to move the state forward. He wished them God’s guidance in the discharge of their duties.
“All the appointments take immediate effect”, statement said.
